Trajectory
Research
- Biomechanics is a discipline that studies the movement of living beings, based on knowledge from mechanics, anatomy, physics, physiology, and medicine. One of the main areas of study is human movement, aimed at solving questions in rehabilitation processes, physical therapy, sports analysis, ergonomics, and occupational risks, among others.
- This research line aims to be a space where all those interested in the study and analysis of human movement can discuss their ideas, mainly focusing on the evaluation and monitoring of motor rehabilitation processes, the description of sports gestures, and sports performance enhancement. Additionally, we have a particular interest in the computational study of body segments, using finite element modeling to design models that allow the evaluation of stresses, deformations, and strains generated by disorders, morphological alterations, orthopedic surgeries, among others; with the goal of offering medical specialists an alternative view of the procedures or injuries they are facing.
